Matrax® Strong Plank Road Plate

The Matrax® Strong Plank Road Plate can be used to bridge open trenches and sinkholes or to provide protection for buried utilities on a construction project. They provide a fast and effective alternative to traditional steel road plates. The Strong Plank Road Plate provides a solution for keeping things moving on a project by allowing vehicles and people to safely cross open excavations and trenches dug for drainage, cables, gas mains or water mains. Strong Plank Road Plates can be used as a permanent structure or may be moved along as work progresses more easily than conventional steel road plates.

The Matrax® Strong Plank Road Plate is engineered with rolled-formed 65 KSI steel to provide you with a stronger yet lighter alternative to the standard A36 road plate. The plate is fabricated with a 2″ Sch. 40 pipe at each corner so that custom eyebolts may be put through the pipes for lifting. Each plate weighs 1/3 the weight of a 1” solid road plate making Strong Plate easier to transport and handle on the job. The rolled-formed corrugation is what gives this product its superior strength to weight ratio, making it the best alternative to traditional road plates–saving you time and money. The Strong Plank Road Plate can be easily relocated by lighter more compact equipment, allowing for fast and easy positioning and placement.

Custom lengths and widths available. Lengths have no limitation other than transportation and widths are available in increments of 6.67”.

Standard 1″ thick A36 road plates also available in various widths and lengths upon request.
