Christ Church Greenwich Gets a Safe, Stable Temporary Walkway

During construction of a food pantry on the church grounds for volunteer organization, Neighbor to Neighbor,  staff had growing concerns about the safety of the walkway. Handcarts, pallets and staff traffic were chipping and breaking the flagstone pavers, creating a dangerous trip hazard. Needing a resolution quickly to help with food distribution during the COVID-19 pandemic, Matrax delivered flooring panels over a weekend. The church staff was able to complete the installation without special equipment and the safer path was put into use immediately.

“Great Safety Overlay product for these times! Helps get operations running smoothly, very fast: layout, click into place solution! One tool, and gravel. Ours went in in a day. We can grow and improve it as needed. Lightweight, just 2 man lift and carry, easy to keep workers at proper distance!” Katie Olt Orphanos, Architectural Design Consultant
