Matrax and Beach Days for All Team Up to Give People with Disabilities Access to the Beach
In 2017 Matrax was contacted by non-profit Beach Days for All – an organization committed to helping towns create better beach access for people with disables. Recognizing the need to provide a stable and sturdy walkway for people in wheelchairs and walkers to safely reach the beach, Matrax designed a walkway using the Matrax 4×4 modular matting system that forms a T at the water’s edge. With this system, all beach goers can safely enjoy the ocean. Beach Days for All founder, Jessica Krill, selected Matrax over other options based on its rigidity and ability to withstand the elements for many many years of use.
Since that first installation in Seaside Park, Matrax has worked with Beach Days for All to create safe beach access in the towns of Lavallette and Point Pleasant.
