Matrax protects stone pavement during façade repairs at the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building in Washington, D.C.
Contractors installed 4400 square feet of Matrax 4×4 LD flooring to protect the pavement and provide a safe, stable work surface while repairing and replacing damaged stone panels on the façade of the building. Matrax panels are engineered to be easily cut with a circular saw so they can be custom fit to the work site.
A common request of the Architect of the Capitol — the builder and steward of the landmark buildings and grounds of Capitol Hill — is to keep the work site as inconspicuous as possible. Matrax flooring panels create an aesthetically pleasing work site that is easy to clean and maintain while providing the support and load spread needed to handle heavy equipment.
