Matrax Protects Tennis Courts During Super Bowl LIV at the Hard Rock Stadium
The Hard Rock Stadium, a global entertainment destination in Miami Gardens Florida, was host to the LIV Super Bowl. The tennis courts, which were used to host VIP parties during the Super Bowl, needed protection from damage both during the construction of the tents and stages, and during the event itself.
Matrax partner Sunbelt Rentals installed approximately 80,000 square feet of Matrax 4×4 HD modular flooring panels to ensure the courts would be in pristine condition for a major tennis tournament that had been scheduled for a month after the Super Bowl. Sunbelt first installed a protective underlay product to mitigate surface scratching. The Matrax 4×4 heavy-duty drivable panels were then installed to provide load spread, supporting heavy equipment during the production period and the event. Tents, stages and activation structures were built on top of the flooring, and the VIP area was finished off with turf and carpet.
The panels preformed perfectly, with no reported damage after the event. Unfortunately, the tennis tournament was cancelled due to COVID-19.
