Matrax Temporary Structure Flooring Meets Sustainability Requirements in Alberta, Canada

Norseman Structures installed a 6075 square foot structure at Fort McMurray in Alberta, Canada for their customer, Suncor Energy. As Canada’s leading integrated energy company, Suncor has made more sustainable solutions a key component of their operations and were not in favor or using concrete as flooring for the structure. The lack of locally available resources would have required sourcing from a significant distance. To meet their requirements, Norseman recommended the Matrax flooring system. Light weight, portable and easy to install and remove without special equipment, the flooring panels provided many advantages over concrete and other options. The HPDE panels can be reused for other projects and are 100% recyclable.
