The Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo Relies on Matrax for Sports Turf Protection
The Regional Recreation Corporation (RRC) of Wood Buffalo in Ft. McMurray, Alberta Canada selected Matrax to provide 8200 square feet of heavy-duty portable flooring to protect the sports turf while hosting events at their facilities.
Matrax 4×4 HD was chosen for its ability to provide a trip-free, pedestrian-friendly surface that is fully drivable and able to support heavy vehicular access such as tractor-trailers, rigging and equipment staging platforms.
Located in northeast Alberta, in the middle of the Athabasca oil sands, the RRC operates a number of recreation facilities. This includes the MacDonald Island Park in Fort McMurray, the Anzac Recreation Centre in the community of Anzac, the Sonny Flett Aquatic Centre in Fort Chipewyan and the Conklin Multiplex in Conklin.
