West Chester University gets a Temporary ADA Compliant Walkway During Construction

To Support an on-going construction project at West Chester University in PA, specialty contractor Old Philadelphia Associates, Inc. had to temporarily remove an existing sidewalk. While the work is being completed, Matrax 4×4 interlocking panels are used to create an ADA compliant walkway for students, staff and workers. Unlike traditional plywood, the HDPE Matrax panels create a smooth, trip-free surface that will not warp or degrade during the 3-month installation.

“The install went very smooth. It was very easy to install and I am happy with the quality and strength of the product. It took two of us under an hour to install the walkway.”
