Jersey Silt Sock – The Most Efficient Alternative to Silt Fence
Jersey Silt Sock is an efficient, environmentally friendly alternative to silt fence. Especially
effective in wetlands and waterways, Jersey Silt Sock helps contain sediment and control water flow on any job site, even in extreme conditions. Unlike silt fence, silt sock does not require trenching, so it can be installed on job sites with sensitive vegetation, frozen ground, paved areas, or vulnerable underground utilities and tree roots.

The Advantages of Jersey Silt Sock Versus Silt Fence:
By allowing water to filter through organic compost contained within a mesh tube, silt sock controls the rate of water flow while trapping sediment. Silt sock has full contact with the ground, preventing water from flowing underneath.

Jersey Silt Sock is flexible and contours to the ground. Unlike silt fence, silt sock does not require trenching and can be installed on frozen or uneven ground. Acting as a filtration system, silt sock allows water to flow through the organic media contained within the mesh tube. Sediment is trapped while controlling the rate of water flow, which prevents pooling. Silt fence is designed to keep water in, which can result in a flooded job site.
